At KRPS, we lay a strong emphasis on sports and physical development. Our sports curriculum is planned and designed for students to develop and enhance skills like strength, speed, endurance, agility, flexibility & balance. Sports today has also evolved as a form of entertainment and offers promising careers. We believe in mass participation, exposing our students to a number of sports events at inter-school, state, national and international levels. Every student is encouraged to join at least one school sports team. The P.E. teachers we employ are young and energetic with a good amount of expertise in sports and provide coaching for sports like Malkhamb, Swimming, Football, Basketball, Throwball, Skating, etc.
Music is given prime importance as part of the school curriculum. Our school boasts of a highly accomplished music staff and a well-equipped music room on the school campus. Every child is encouraged and nurtured to learn at least one musical instrument starting from Class I. This, however, is an optional subject at the Senior Secondary Level owing to the extent of the curriculum in these classes. The school staff and management are clearly aligned in the school’s vision of having a strong and consistently recognized music program within the school.
Cultural Day is another major event at KRPS and hence the entire student body participates in this event. We believe that stage presence and confidence in body language is a necessary life skill for every child. Hence, we encourage all our students to participate in the Annual Gathering. The excitement is palpable at every nook and corner of our schools a few weeks before the event & students enjoy practicing for it while balancing regular classes.
KRPS offers a learning experiences for students in an interesting way. Teaching and learning styles have gone through generations of changes. If we look back and think of the best practices across the globe, there have been few things that have been an indispensable and impressive part of the learning curve. One of them is the field trips! Everything they learn is by doing and in the natural environment. In today’s time, field trips are way different as time and needs have changed dramatically, yet the tradition continues. A field trip or an excursion is a journey of an individual or group of people away from their normal environment. Out of the classroom and into the world is an attempt to learn through experiencing and experimenting.
